GOVARDHAN GARDENS
TROPICAL FRUIT TREE,
SEED & BAMBOO NURSERY

HURRICANE FIONA UPDATE 11/15/2022:

Almost exactly 5 years after Hurricane Maria's islandwide destruction, Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico with massive amounts of rain and/or steady wind gusts over 100 mph for over 24 hours from September 18 to 19. Unfortunately, my farm was again hit extremely hard and looks like a war zone: landslides; hundreds of trees snapped in half; thousands of branches that will need to be removed; my newly built greenhouse and nursery structure again destroyed.

I am just starting to survey the overall damage (the back of my farm is currently not accessible) but based on previous experiences, it looks like it will take about 3 years to clean up the farm + repair the damage. Aside of loosing rare tropical fruit species, the damage to structures + labor needed will cost at least $25,000.

For those who want to support the project that has hosted over ten thousand people throughout the past 20+ years, donations can be sent via PayPal to: sadhuoroverde@gmail.com
(For other money transfer options, please contact me personally by
Whatsapp 939 248 1266). Please make sure to declare all donations
as "Hurricane Relief Donations". For those of you who want to help with the farm clearing marathon, feel free to contact me.

The bamboo nursery is most likely the first to be back on its feet,
and orders can be processed throughout 2023.
